Hello artists

Many thanks to those members who responded with tax deductible donations to the society from the recent email.  Your generosity is truly appreciated and will help us continue to grow and thrive.

Our Watercolours in Blue exhibition is looking spectacular down at WA Shipwrecks Museum, I hope you all make time to go and see it and enjoy the wonderful display of work.

As we approach the AGM this year we are reaching a pivotal moment for our committee. Two valued key people have decided to step down creating exciting opportunities for fresh energy and ideas to come on board.

Sue Liddicoat, our dedicated treasurer has done an outstanding job managing our finances, budgets, grants, and implementing Stripe.  Under her guidance we’ve secured DGR status and streamlined many processes through our digital platform, Monday.  Thanks to this, the role is now far more automated and manageable.  Sue is offering a thorough handover and ongoing support to the next Treasurer.  If you are organised and enjoy working with numbers or even just curious, we encourage you to consider stepping into this vital role.

Debbie Ey, another incredible contributor, will also be stepping down after many years of exceptional service.  She has revolutionized our website and digital systems, making much of the admin work easier and more efficient.   With Debbie’s detailed handover and mentoring you will be well supported in learning the ropes.  This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in websites or digital tools to build skill and make a big impact.

Joining the committee is not only a rewarding way to support the society but also a chance to learn new things, work with a passionate team and help shape our future.  If either of these roles sparks your interest, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Sue, Debbie or myself for a chat, we’d love to hear from you.

Keep the brushes wet.
