Congratulations to our fabulous Treasurer and Vice President who have worked hard to win us a Local Activation Grant for $7,500 towards the Annual Awards Exhibition. This will cover the hire of the barn and the boards and lights. This grant was very well thought out and written, making sure it was benefiting us, the City of Perth and local businesses. This is a great opportunity for us to grow and develop a real presence in this area annually.
Next month is our AGM. Sue Liddicoat, our fantastic treasurer is looking to step down, but give full support to a new treasurer. A lot of aspects of this role have been automated and made easier. This is an opportunity to be part of the executive committee team. You will be joining a great team who work really well together.
Marion Power would also like to step down from doing the morning teas. She too will provide support and backup to anyone taking this role on. It is an opportunity to meet everyone who comes to general meetings and you do get lots of help in there.
Valentina Voigt has done a beautiful job on Instagram for many years now has decided to step down for a bit, so this position becomes available. It is a committee position and an opportunity to improve your own social media skills while working on the Society’s socials.
Stef and I continue researching and visiting places to potentially hold our IWEx2026. We do have multiple irons in the fire but no contract yet.
