Johnson, Beverley

Beverley was born in Bunbury and lived there until she was 18 when she moved to Mt Pleasant. Her artistic ability was noticed throughout her school years, but it was not until the late 1980’s when she enrolled in a Dip of Fine Arts at Fremantle Technical School that her appreciation of art and art history truly began. Further studies followed and she began exhibiting, firstly in mixed exhibitions and then 4 solo exhibitions in the late nineties. She has exhibited in a number of galleries in Perth and Brisbane, with interstate and international sales.

Over the past decade she has mainly worked on commissions. As a keen gardener she has worked predominately on studies of flowers, however following overseas trips she has painted numerous European scenes, together with WA land and seascapes.

Beverley is an active member of the Melville Community Arts, a Life Member of the Alfred Cove Art Society, she is also a member of the Watercolour Society of WA.

She was a member of the team from Alfred Cove which won the prestigious Daley Rowney World Award in 2002.
