Hello all

Great news, the prize money is in and allocated.  We have some new awards this year.  We have had two anonymous sponsors come on board recently, one specified part of their contribution to go to an award for a new member in the AAE.  So that is open to new members since last AGM. Our retiring treasurer has done a brilliant job with allocating the awards and making sure each category gets even value.   We are appreciative of all our sponsors and thank them all for their generous support.

Please do have fun at the Annual Awards Exhibition.  We are going to look stunning in the barn again.  Do advertise on your social media and hand out flyers to promote our event.  These will be available at the next meeting.

Friends, you are very welcome to come to the AAE and be involved.  This is an opportunity to learn a lot as different artists do watercolour demonstrations to the public, the try me table gets busy and lots go on.  You are very welcome to attend throughout the entire time and bring other friends, family and artists.

A venue has been secured for the 4th International Watercolour Exhibition.  This will be going ahead next year after much research and venue issue considerations.

Giving Back, is an important part of our society’s work.  Annette Wallman and her group at Charlies are finalists in the prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award organised by the North Metro Health Service.  It is called Go the Extra Mile Awards. Congratulations to Annette and her team, wonderful work on behalf of the society.

We have started a new page on the website called Giving Back.  It is looking great.  If you are doing something we need to know about in giving back in watercolour, please send me a photo and tell me about it and you will be included.  This helps us promote our society and our medium.

I continue to work with the President of WA Society of Arts and Pastel Society in an endeavour to find us a home.
