Hello everyone

Firstly, apologies for my absences recently – the delights of ageing and then Covid finally caught up with my husband and I– and I have to say a huge thank you to Jane Zandi for doing such a great job at the last meeting. My absence this month was at least planned and I am loving visiting my family in the UK after a four year wait due to the pandemic!

Have to say I was so annoyed to miss the Watercolour Weekend Fair but by all accounts, it went very well and once again, our hard-working Committee and wonderful members stepped up to make it an enjoyable event for all. A survey form will be sent out to those who took part to see if we should rest that event for a couple of years or continue with it – or come up with something else!

Initial plans are under way for our third International Watercolour Exhibition next year but there are likely to be some changes for this one – especially as far as the venue is concerned – but you’ll have to wait for the meeting on 16th May to find out about it!

Newsletter No. 433 – May 2023

We received the very sad news recently of the passing of friend and colleague, Dana Shave.
Always happy and an active member of the Society for 15 years, Dana was one of the best painters of boats, water and local scenes in watercolour I have met.
We send our sincere condolences to Dana’s family and dear friends.
RIP Dana, you will be sorely missed ❤️
