Hello everyone
Congratulations for our International Watercolour Exhibition Fremantle are still coming in from far and wide so we hope you enjoy this edition – beautifully put together again by Sue Bass – showing some different aspects of the exhibition. Another excellent result is that we actually made a ‘profit’ from the IWEF which will ensure that our Annual Awards Exhibition prize money is kept at a good level. The other good news is that we will be reducing the commission rate this year to an overall 20% – no matter how the painting is paid for and to include any eftpos charges.
Also, at our last Committee Meeting, we decided to continue with a larger Committee than before – after all, the numbers of new members joining has increased and so should the size of the Committee. This trial will run again for this year and if successful, we will look at altering the Constitution at a later date – there is no point doing that now if we don’t know if it will work. We still urge our members to think seriously about joining the Committee. We are sharing the load between more people so that many hands make light work. This is an era of change that we expect will ensure that we can continue to maintain the level of activities that we run and to maintain the success that we have been achieving.
