Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 – 10am to 4pm
Once again the watercolour Society is trying something new on behalf of it’s members and as usual our members have responded with gusto.
On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd May, over 40 of our members will set up shop in their stands with their artworks and be prepared to meet the public.
This is the public’s chance to chat to and buy from the artists who have created the works on show.
Many people are fascinated by the process of making art and this is their time to ask the questions and get some in-depth info into the workings of the watercolour world and even take home an original painting with the potential to become a family heirloom.
The Italian Club, 65 Marine Terrace, Fremantle.
A dramatic cafe scene, from Cass Gartner, just a sample of paintings on offer over the weekend.
Another great painting, by Jane Zandi, life on the road is good. But buying art is even better.
Our member, Valentina Voigt is getting ready to exhibit her paintings at the Watercolour Weekend Fair. Beautiful work Valentina. 22nd and 23rd May at The Fremantle Italian Club, free entry and free parking, cash or card. An opportunity to meet the artists, ask them questions and buy original art work. 10-4 pm
Penny Maddison’s recent sale. This female red tail black cockatoo painting was spotted unfinished in Penny’s studio by a man. Once it was finished he came back and bought it for his wife. A very good home for it to go to. Penny’s studio is open tomorrow and Sunday, see yesterday’s post for details. Go have a look in her studio for any unfinished works that may get finished as you watch.
