About the Artist
Jane Zandi
“I try to tell my story in as few brushstrokes as possible”
Born in Tasmania and now living in Perth, I have been painting for over 18 years and in the last 10 years regularly en plein air.
This has resulted in a passion for getting the light just right while on site and then taking that lightness into the studio paintings.
I am a member of Perth Plein Air Painters and get outdoors to paint with them as much as possible.
Regular attendance at life drawing but using paint on vintage music paper has led to improved drawing and painting skills.
Regular attendance at watercolour workshops held by local, national and international artists has helped me develop my own personal style.
