Hello artists
An exciting time as I wait for next month to meet with Colin Walker from the Art Gallery of WA and presidents of 9 other art societies and organisations around Perth to discuss exhibiting opportunities for each group at the Art Gallery of WA next year. This opportunity is very exciting, and we are looking forward to seeing how it will play out. Thank you to Tanya Izzard, president at WA Society of Arts for making this happen.
Last meeting was an important milestone in our history. Our first friend applied for membership and smashed it gaining full membership! This is a wonderful moment and a great outcome for the future of our society as we move forward and grow.
Committee have reviewed the post Annual Awards Exhibition survey and changes will be announced at the next meeting.
Congratulations to all who are involved in the Army Art Exhibition. Watercolours look stunning and our profile is being promoted there. Defence Watercolour Students entered their first works in the exhibition, and they look fabulous.
Our exhibition in York is coming to an end in Pantechnica gallery. Congratulations to all involved with this exhibition, there are some beautiful paintings. Sales have been made to mainly locals this time.
Next month will be the fun of the Christmas party and the Christmas card and other card competition, so please keep the brushes wet.
