Listen to a great interview with the WatercoloursWA President, Susan Payne. She is talking about the International Watercolour Exhibition Fremantle. The first International Watercolour Exhibition to be held in Australia.
The 2020 International Watercolour Exhibition is being held in Fremantle, Western Australia from the 13th of March – 13th April, 2020. The Watercolour Society of Western Australia will be the host of the prestigious event.
This will be the first time the event has been held in Australia. Watercolour artists from over 17 countries will be exhibiting and attending workshops. It is a unique opportunity to see the magnificent works by some of the world’s greatest masters of watercolour. And, yes, they are available to purchase.
Over 150 works from national and international artists will be on display in the Moores Building, 46 Henry Street, to view or purchase. The catalogue will be released prior to the opening. Free workshops and demonstrations by watercolour artists will include traditional Chinese brush style, loose portraiture and brilliant Brusho. One of the highlights will be The Plein Air competition, open to professional and amateur watercolour artists.
