Philomena (YE RUN-HAO) is an Australian of Chinese descent. She paints in both the traditional Chinese Brush painting and Western watercolor styles. A combination of both styles produces a uniqueness that reconciles the calligraphic mark-making of Chinese art with the many techniques available to western watercolorists. Her unique style is characterized by a certain luminosity of tone and elegant, strong brushstrokes that impart a sense of freedom and energy.
