Jude Scott is an award winning artist who specializes in watercolour and lives in Perth, Western Australia.

Jude began with ceramics at Technical Colleges in Perth and Sydney, afterwards working as a potter for several years, then turned to painting. Since studying in oils, acrylics, drawing and watercolour with professional artists and tutors in Western Australia and NSW Australia and in China.

Recently, Jude has been spent with Chinese professors and exploring the differences between Chinese and Australian approaches to watercolour has been a fascinating and insightful experience.

“I am drawn to the magical medium of watercolour because of its diverse nature. From the powerful opaque darks through to the lightest, most delicate washes of translucent pastel tones to rich and vibrant colours, the wonderful textures and effects that can be produced in watercolour I find endlessly fascinating. Watercolour can also be notorious for its unpredictability, but that is all part of the challenge!” says Jude.

A popular demonstrator, Jude has tutored workshops from Perth to Newman in the North West of Western Australia to Margaret River in the south as well as local councils, the West Australian education department and community arts groups. Jude will also tailor workshops to suit large or small interest groups on request in Perth and country Western Australia.

An International workshop tutored in 2018 was held in Ubud, Bali June 2018 and will be held again in 15th-22nd June 2019 at the very unique Arma Resort. See www.baliartworkshops.com

Jude has been invited to tutor two workshops in Tuscany, 17-24th and 24th-31st August 2019 at The Watermill, Posara, in beautiful Tuscany, Italy 2019.
