About the Artist
Julie studied Fine Art at Fremantle TAFE including oil painting, pastels, pen and ink drawing, art history and fine jewellery making in silver. Julie exhibited at the Melville Arts Awards in the mid 1980’s and sold 2 of her drawings in pen and ink.
Julie also sold many of her hand made jewellery bracelets and necklaces before ceasing her art interests due to returning to full time work in Administrative roles, Personal Assistants in commercial real estate and stockbrokers.
33 years later – retired and after a life changing event, Julie decided to take up art again, but this time using Watercolours and loving the way the paint and paper works together to create beautiful scenes.
Julie is very passionate about her art and loves mixing with like-minded artists, eager to learn and share her passion.
Always remain positive, live in the present and live life to the fullest.

Thundering of Hooves

I first saw these beautiful Sulphur Crested Cockatoos at the Canning Vale markets. I am in awe of these magnificent and somewhat cheeky birds. One called Oscar sat on my shoulder and became very affectionate and was nibbling very gently at my ears, I believe he was mesmerized by my earrings.
