Sue Hibbert was born in Perth, Western Australia. Her watercolour paintings capture the flow of light and mood upon an object or landscape with the use of expressive washes of colour and calligraphic brushstrokes.
Sue was encouraged to paint and draw at an early age by her artist father Laurence Hibbert.
Many weekends were spent exploring the Darling Ranges observing the colours and textures of the landscape. These early lessons have remained an inspiration for her paintings.
Sue has an article in the latest Issue of the “Art of Watercolour” Magazine, 42nd Issue.
Sue reveals her technique in detail in this feature.
