Sandie Schroder – Burned & Turned Exhibition – Linton & Kay Galleries – Swan Valley
While Sandie is not a member of the Watercolour Society she is a very valued sponsor of the society and a well known supplier of art materials through her agency for The Art Scene.
Sandie Schroder has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree majoring in Painting and Sculpture from Curtin University and has been working as a professional artist for over 25 years. Her works have been hung in public and private collections and galleries nationally.
Schroder has created her current art work by burning directly into the archival paper. Some images also include watercolour so both the fire and water elements complement each other.
Sandie has had many close calls when creating these pieces, with some literally going up in smoke as the burning got out of control, reinforcing the ever present threat of fire, living amongst our volatile bushland.
Sandie is exhibiting in conjunction with wood turner Ian Moss.
