Whiteman & Caversham Wildlife Parks Art Experience – Wednesday 18 March 2020

One of the classic Australia Icons you might get to meet at the Wildlife Park.

Spend a day with fellow artists, enjoying the unique bushland and conservation reserve of Whiteman Park, and meeting and interacting with Australian native animals at Caversham Wildlife Park. Choose a spot to paint, pat a kangaroo, enjoy a classic Aussie barbecue and more! This will be a fun day for artists to capture some of Australia’s best flora and fauna.

Cost—$120 INCLUDES:

  • Pick-up and drop off Fremantle & East Perth
  • Commentary on Perth and local areas
  • Morning tea
  • Entry to Caversham Wildlife Park
  • Barbecue lunch
  • Storage space for art equipment
  • Fold-up chairs for painting

Itinerary:

8.00 am Pick-up at Fremantle (location to be advised)
8.45 am Pick-up at East Perth Rail Terminal (eastern end)
9.00 am Travel to Whiteman Park. Learn some history of Perth and areas we pass along the way.
9.30 am—12.30 pm Caversham Wildlife Park – paint, interact with the animals, and enjoy morning tea. Note: please do not block pathways when painting.
12.30 pm—1.30 pm Barbecue lunch at Whiteman Park. Enjoy a classic Australian barbecue—variety of cooked meat, cold salads, bread rolls, fruit, and a glass of wine/beer, followed by tea, coffee and cake.
1.30 pm—4.00 pm Paint the lovely surrounds at Whiteman Park, visit the Motor Museum and Village Art Gallery or return to Caversham for more interactions with the animals.
4.00 pm Depart Whiteman Park
4.30 pm Drop off at East Perth Rail Terminal
5.15 pm Drop off at Fremantle
