I grew up in NZ and have loved art all my life. I have no formal training but always did pencil drawings and sketches.
After moving to Perth, I initially started with acrylics in 1995, eventually leading into watercolour some years later with Cassie Gartner who set my on my way in 2003. I’m always learning about watercolour and will be for some time to come I think.... I love painting the sea and beach scenes – people, flowers and landscape,
I love the way watercolour can bring life into an otherwise plain scene. I regularly exhibit in Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society, Joondalup City exhibition and the Bayswater Art Exhibition.
My biggest inspirations have been from attending workshops with Greg Allen and John Lovett. I work full time and I have two grown boys so painting is squeezed in on the weekends between cleaning floors and washing! Fun fun fun..
