Philomena (YE RUN-HAO) is an Australian of Chinese descent.  She paints in both the traditional Chinese Brush painting and Western watercolor styles.  A combination of both styles produces a uniqueness that reconciles the calligraphic mark-making of Chinese art with the many techniques available to western watercolorists. Her unique style is characterized by a certain luminosity of tone and elegant, strong brushstrokes that impart a sense of freedom and energy.

Philomena has been exhibiting her art regularly since 1982.  Her displays include both mixed and solo exhibitions.
She regularly gives demonstrations of Chinese Brush Painting to schools, art societies and public art events.  Occasionally, she runs art workshops.
