Some of these include participating on local and state government arts panels, arts lecturer for TAFE, exhibiting in New York, to creating unforgettable, public and community artworks throughout Western Australia! For more than 30 years, this accomplished artist has been constantly involved in the arts, quietly building her comprehensive CV, the results speak for themselves. When it comes to painting, Irene is adept with most mediums and particularly enjoys using water colours both out in the field from life, or in her studio from her sketches and photos. The unique Australian landscape has always provided her with constant inspiration, and includes remote inland deserts, the stunning Kimberley and Pilbara regions or the lush green forest bush lands of the south west of WA. She is well known for capturing the essence or "sense of place" each location presents. Irene enjoys the challenge of painting other subjects too: nudes, historical and mining themes or anything from nature, birds or the intimate details of leaves etc. Irene is highly sought after, not only for her paintings, but also for her other artistic skills which she employs throughout Western Australia.
