Contact Details Gallery (Click to view paintings) Biography Bernice has become known for land and seascapes, painting both realistic and abstract. She began her art career working in oils, but now paints almost exclusively in water colour and mixed media.
Born at Nedlands and educated at Nedlands Primary School and Presbyterian Ladies College, Western Australia. She has exhibited in many group shows, won awards at Mosman Park Town Council, Royal Agricultural Society of W.A. Pinjarra, Wagin, Narrogin, Dianella, Cottesloe, Mandurah, Cossack and Kalgoorlie/Boulder, Morawa , Williams and Gascoyne Art Exhibitions. Her work is represented in private collections, Shire Councils and offices in Western Australia, locally and in the country. Also in the Eastern States of Australia, Canada, United States of America, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland, New Zealand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Scotland Indonesia, Japan, China, Italy and France. Bernice was Secretary of Western Australian Society of Arts between 1985-1992, and is currently a member of committee. Vice President of the Watercolour Society of Western Australia and a member of the Realist Artists W.A., the Australian Society of Miniature Art, and the Alfred Cove Art Society. Bernice has travelled extensively throughout UK, Greece, Turkey, France and Italy, Spain and Portugal South America and throughout Australia, committing paint to paper, working off and on the beaten track. She especially finds the Kimberley’s and Pilbara in Western Australia the Olgas and Kakadu areas in the Northern Territory a wonderful source of inspiration and joy. A recent painting trek in the Rudall River region extended her love for the outbaack and was a huge success in providing many paintings. AWARDS / PRIZES - 2004 Alfred Cove Art Soc.
