Biography

Image As long as Jude can remember she has always felt the urge to be creative, it has been a  lifelong passion .From a very early age creative activities were always a big part of her day. Over the years, during a busy and varied career, she has also been involved in designing and creating sportswear, ceramics and textiles.

Now, having stepped back from the 9-5 career lifestyle, Jude is devotes as much time as possible to painting  in watercolour ,oils and acrylics. She is an enthusiastic teacher of watercolour at the Atwell Art Gallery, Canning Highway in Alfred Cove, W.A. and has been teaching there for 4 years working with students ranging  in experience from beginners to advanced.

“I really enjoy sharing the passion of painting with  others ,the joys and possibilities of watercolour as a medium are endless. When everything is flowing you are in the zone….it’s like meditation!”she says. This love of  sharing art has led to Jude organize several fundraising functions for charity that have combined art and the garden  with friends and artists, these were very successful.

Her idea of a perfect day is an hour in the kitchen, two in the garden and the rest in the  studio, surrounded by colour ,textures, inks, paints paper and canvas!!At the moment, her focus is on floral and figurative works. Portraits are also a challenging passion. She is constantly experimenting in charcoal  drawing,  watercolour ,oils and acrylics.

Jude is an active member of the West Australian Watercolour Society, Melville Community Arts Society and the Alfred Cove Arts Society.

Jude’s work is represented by Zin Zan Gallery in FigTree Lane Bussleton W.A.
